A small lithium ion/lithium metal battery falls under the below categories: For lithium ion cells and batteries\, small battery exceptions are provided for: Lithium ion cells having a Wh rating not exceeding 20 Wh; Lithium ion batteries having a Wh rating not exceeding 100 Wh. For lithium metal cells and batteries\, small battery exceptions are provided for: Lithium metal cells having a lithium metal content not exceeding 1 g; Lithium metal batteries having a lithium metal content not exceeding 2 g. DESCRIPTION:WHO SHOULD TAKE IATA TRAINING\nThis course is intended for shippers\, freight forwarders\, and hazmat employees involved in the handling\, shipping\, and/or transport of dangerous goods by air.\n \nINTRODUCTION\nIATA (ICAO) Air Training provides required initial or recurrent training to participants involved with the shipping\, handling\, and/or transport dangerous goods by air. IATA (ICAO) Air Training is based on the requirements outlined in Title 49\, Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR)\, International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA DGR) and the International Civil Aviation Organizations (ICAO) Technical Instructions.
