About Us
The World Trade Center Miami (WTCM), founded in 1971, is a non-profit organization and member of the preeminent global trade organization the World Trade Centers Association with over 314 World Trade Centers located in more than 91 countries around the world.
For more than 50 years, the WTCM has been the only organization focused on growing and promoting international business and trade in our community. Through renowned trade shows, missions, Signature Events, educational programs, promotion of two-way trade and other forms of assistance, the WTCM plays a leading role in spurring Miami’s emergence as a hemispheric center for global trade. The diverse portfolio of WTCM programs and trade shows generates international sales, boost exports, and fosters the ideal environment for international investment.
As a powerful voice for business growth and economic prosperity, the WTCM is dedicated to leading South Florida into a new era of international trade. - ICF becomes Miami’s hub for international collaboration.
- Members help found: FIBA & FEIA
- Advocated for major projects: Miami Free Zone, banking and insurance exchanges, and international trade promotion.
Becoming the World Trade Center Miami
Joining the Global Network
- Recognizing the need for a globally recognized identity, the International Center of Florida applied for and was awarded the license to operate the World Trade Center Miami by the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA).
- In a rapid succession of events, the ICF transitioned into the World Trade Center Miami (WTCM).
- This connected Miami to 300+ WTC’s across 90+ countries.
