In a significant event that unfolded two days ago on January 31, 2024, industry leaders and government representatives convened at the World Trade Center Miami to explore collaborative synergies aimed at unlocking the trade and logistics potential between Florida and the Dominican Republic. The focal point of the gathering was the unveiling of a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Agreement between the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) and the World Trade Center Miami (WTCM). The event featured key presentations by prominent figures, including Manny Mencia, Chairman of WTCM; Edwin De los Santos, President of AMCHAMDR; Ivan Barrios, President/CEO of WTCM; and William Malamud, Executive Vice President of AMCHAMDR. The agenda encompassed discussions on the objectives of the agreement, the signing ceremony of the MOU, a presentation highlighting the Dominican Republic as a logistics hub, and concluded with a networking reception.

The gathering sought to strengthen the ties between the two regions, fostering a robust supply chain connection and paving the way for enhanced two-way trade opportunities.
